After this course the participant will understand how to unravel obstructive sleep disordered breathing in children and its associations with oral dysfunctions. Also, the participants will learn how to help young patients with those problems by treating the structural, functional and environmental issues causing them.

Dr. German Ramirez.

A Certified Pediatric Dentist practicing in Aurora, Ontario, Canada. Author of the book Early Treatment of Malocclusions and many scientific publications in peer review journals. He is a well-recognized international speaker and co-chair of the course Sleep Disordered Breathing and Orthodontics at the Loma Linda University Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry Specialty programs.

Sharon Moore.

Is a Speech Pathologist with 4 decades of clinical experience across a wide range of communication and alimentation disorders. She runs a Private Practice in Canberra focusing into management of disorders of function in the upper airway, including: breathing, swallowing, chewing, phonation, speech & breathing during sleep. Sharon has a special interest in early identification of craniofacial growth anomalies in non-syndromic children, airway obstruction in sleep disorders.  She believes there has never been a more important time for medical and dental colleagues to work as a team with significant health morbidities of sleep disorders in all ages now widely known. She is author of the book ‘Sleep Wrecked Kids: Raising happy healthy children one sleep at a time’

Patrick McKeown.

Is a foremost authority in the field of breathing. He was educated at Trinity College Dublin, completing his clinical training in Russia. His work focuses on breathing pattern disorders, sleep disordered breathing and anxiety. He has trained elite military Special Forces, SWAT, Olympic coaches and athletes. He coauthored a recent article on breathing and phenotypes of sleep apnea and his newest book, The Breathing Cure (2021) contains comprehensive research into breathing science and provides a unique series of exercises suitable for adults, children and teens.

Dr. Soroush Zaghi.

Graduated from Harvard Medical School, completed residency in ENT (Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery) at UCLA, and Sleep Surgery Fellowship at Stanford University. The focus of his sub-specialty training is on the comprehensive treatment of tongue-tie, nasal obstruction, mouth breathing, snoring, and obstructive sleep apnea. He is very active in clinical research relating to sleep disordered breathing with over 80+ peer-reviewed research publications in the fields of neuroscience, head and neck surgery, and sleep-disordered breathing.
