Prof. Mariano Rocabado.
He is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Dean of the Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Andres Bello, Santiago, Chile.
In the academic field, he is a full professor at the University of Chile, Department of orthodontics, and full professor at the School of Physical Therapy, University of Andres Bello.
He is also a full Professor at the Orthopedic Manual Therapy Masters program, and the Masters Program in Physiopathology of the Cranio-cervical, Cranio-mandibular and Facial Pain Program, University of Andres Bello.
Dr. Barry Sessle.
Dr. Sessle is a Professor in the Faculty of Dentistry and the Department of Physiology in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto.
His internationally-renowned research into orofacial pain and neuromuscular function and dysfunction has been supported for over 40 years by both the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the U.S. National Institutes of Health.
He is Past-President of the International Association for Dental Research, the Canadian Association for Dental Research, The international Association for the Study of Pain, and the Canadian Pain Society.
He has published 11 books and 450 journal articles and book chapters.
Dr. Alain Aubé.
Dr. Alain Aubé graduated from the University of Montreal Dental Faculty in 1984.
In 2008, he founded the « Canadian Occlusion Institute », an institute dedicated to teaching:
1) TMJ pathologies from a medical/orthopedic standpoint
2) teaches diagnosis and treatment of occlusally related problems.
He is quickly being recognized in Quebec as the leading occlusion-TMJ expert, as he is being referred to by prosthodontists, orthodontists and oral surgeons, as well as general practitioners.
Dr Aubé maintains a full time private referral practice dedicated exclusively to TMJ and occlusal problems.
Professor Mariano Rocabado will be discussing on how to recognize conditions in the Cranio-Cervical complex which
associate with TMJ Disturbances in Children, adolescents and adults. He will discuss also about how to prevent them
and their therapeutic approach.
Dr. Alain Aubé will show through clinical case the application of MRI for the diagnosis of TMJ pathologies, as well as
his approach to stimulate TMJ regeneration in patients with Osteo-Arthritis
Prof. Barry Sessle will discuss the neuro-physiology of cranio-facial pain.
